Check out some recent social events...... Rodizio Rico Brazilian Grill near Paddington attracted a group of hugry carnivors who ploughed their way through mounds of succulent meat carved from skewers at the table. The veges made their way to the buffet more times than was probably good for them .....and the wine flowed. A great night. Curry at Cafe Naz in Aug went down a treat thanks to Kathy for organising so well. More than 20 members ate till they could eat no more and carried on till well into the night in a nearby pub.
Thursday June 5th - Tas Restaurant in Bloomsbury proved extremely popular - a bright and bustling Turkish restaurant where the menu was great value and pretty authentic. In May, Pulcinellas in Soho was a great success with about 14 people attending. No one attempted a 15" pizza but Nicole did pretty well to polish off a 12"! Service was a bit slow, but the food was well worth the wait (maybe Don N didn't think so...?) Don B on the other hand provided his usual stories of adventure and anecdote and son Ralph acted like a sheep on the tube .... On 13th March, 13 daring people gathered 'Dans le noir' February 5th marked the AGM with a new venue at Mogador Moroccan Restaurant on Portobello Rd – 18 people enjoyed a lively meeting followed by a mezze starter, various Moroccan delicacies and the wine flowed. Jan 17th - a delayed Christmas celebration with Tapas at Navarros on Charlotte St – a record turnout of 27 for this Spanish twist on Xmas, complete with crackers purchased at knock down price! |
