There is a new 30 mile trail established in Lochalsh in the North West Highlands of Scotland.  The route offers spectacular scenery with views of the Five Sisters of Kintail, Eilean Donan Castle, the Kylerhea Narrows and the Isle of Skye.  It also includes the archaeological sites of the Brochs at Totaig and Glen Beag, The Bernera Barracks and officers' houses at Glenelg built after the Jacobite uprisings, the old ferry slip at Totaig, and the Glenelg Ferry.

The Lochalsh Dirty 30 Challenge Walk is now in its third year and is an opportunity for individuals, groups and clubs to participate in a great event and test yourself against 30 miles of the most breathtaking highland countryside.  Saturday June 13th 2009 will see hundreds of walkers head to the tiny village of Glenelg to take part in the event.

Their website ( www.lochalsh-trails.co.uk ) has been updated and contains more detailed information on the event, along with the online registration form for those of you who fancy giving it a try... you won't regret it!

Humanfish operate cycling routes from the mountains to the coastal area in Slovenia, which are popular, and would be happy to offer their expertise, services, pack up service and guides for long distance walks.  They have a lot to offer for walkers.  They have an excellent back up service with a minibus and also operate with small and friendly accommodation.  Slovenia is a walkers paradise and attracts trekkers and hikers.  Parts of the E6 and E7 long distance routes run through Slovenia.

You've probably heard about "The best walk in the world" ... now get ready for "The most spectacular walk in the world"!

Here in Cape Town we offer a five-day walk, which begins at Table Mountain, ends at The Cape of Good Hope and traverses the National Park between these icons. Luggage is transported by vehicle and nights are spent in lodges and hotels.
