In addition to our usual weekend walks, we offer midweek evening walks in London between June and August. These 6 to 10 mile walks start around 6 or 6:30pm and often end in a pub. Wed 16 May Wimbledon to Richmond, 8 miles
. Start Wimbledon Stn 6pm from centre court exit. To Richmond Stn via Southside, Cannizaro, Ladderstile, Isabella, and Vancouver. Ldr Rod Smith. This walk is in May as it aims to find the azaleas in Richmond park in full flower.

Boston Manor to Hammersmith, 7 miles. Start Boston Manor
tube stn (Picadilly Line) 6.30pm for a walk along the Grand Union Canal and the
Thames Path via Chiswick House Gardens to finish at Hammersmith. Pub Plough and

Wed 30 May
River Wandle Trail, 9 miles. Start Carshalton Station (approx 30 minutes direct from Victoria, Blackfriars or London Bridge) 6.30pm. Following the river from one of its sources, Carshalton Ponds, to the Thames. End at a pub close to Wandsworth Town station. [Since you ask, the other source of the Wandle is Waddon Ponds, 2.5 miles from Carshalton. If you would like to walk that bit too, let me know. Richmond and Kew riverside, 7 miles. Meet 6.30pm at Richmond Station. Circular walk with drinks in a Richmond pub at the end. Ldr Douglas Robinson

London Bridges Walk, 9 miles. Meet: Tower Hill District Line station, 6pm. OS Grid Ref: TQ337808. End: Wandsworth Town railway station. A walk along the Thames, crossing every bridge. Ldr Peter Buchwald


Thurs 21st June Greenwich and Docklands, 8 miles.

Start Greenwich stn 6.30pm (High Rd entrance). Frequent trains from Charing Cross and London Bridge. A chance to explore Greenwich Park and the Isle of Dogs. Finish Henry Addington pub Canary Wharf. Ldr Rob Myers


Thurs 28th June Cultural & historical East End, 8 miles. Meet 6.30pm at Mile End tube station for meander to Liverpool St via Bethnal Green commemoratingThe Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo, Dr Barnardo, Sylvia Pankhurst, King Cole, the Krays & many more. Ldr Gordon Parker


Thurs 5th July Highgate circular, 8 miles. Meet at 6.30pm Highgate tube lower Priory gardens exit. We will walk through Hampstead Heath and woods to see kenwood House Hill House Pergola, Golders Hill park and the Vale of Heath. End with a Weatherspoon's curry at the Gatehouse in Highgate Village. Home is a 10 mins down to archway tube or back to Hampstead tube. ldr Peter Russell.


Wed 9 July Hackney Canal Walk 8 Mls. Meet at Stamford Hill Station (overground from Liverpool St Station) at 6.30pm. Route from Springfield Park to Broadway Market, passing through Walthamstow Marshes  along the Lower Lea Valley, past the Olympic Stadium through Hackney Wick and
Victoria Park, finishing in Broadway Market at The Dove Pub. Ldr

Thurs 19th July  Meet Canada Water (overground and Jubilee line) at 6.30pm. A 7 mile stroll taking in some beautiful riverside views and ending at Liverpool street. Ldr Dave Williams


Wed 25th July  Not the Jubilee Walk Part 1, 8miles. 
Start British Museum 6pm (Mortimer Street Entrance by the lions). Finish Embankment. The walk will roughly follow the route of the Jubilee walk but use backstreets and green spaces instead of main roads. As it is only 2 days before the opening of the Olympic Games this will be proceeded by a sports tour of the British Museum. Start British Museum 4.45pm (Mortimer Street Entrance by the lions). Hillingdon Trail 6-8mls mls available
Meet at 6.30pm at South Ruislip (central line). Route takes in part of the Hillingdon Trail plus a couple of nature reserves. Finish at Ruislip Gardens. Local pub and station also on central line. Ldr Steve Plested.
